Morning b-list fam! Today I’m sharing the oldest date night idea in the book -> a dinner date night! Yep, that’s right, I’m basic. Lol, but seriously though, sometimes there is no better date than the ones where you and your man get a little dressed up and go out to a nice dinner. It doesn’t have to be anything expensive, just somewhere new 🙂 I don’t know why, but this always makes me feel a little special, and being a little dressed up makes Eihab and I laugh and flirt the night away 🙂 Also, since the weather is turning colder and we live in Portland, I thought I’d share some places that we really enjoy going for a nice date night! And of course, since this is also a style blog, I’ve teamed up with Full Addition to help bring you guys the perfect winter date night look 😉
Â
This MK by Michael Kors coat is the perfect coat for a winter date because it is nice and warm and the fit is really nice. I love a coat that you can belt or zip up and still have a waistline 🙂 If you aren’t a vampire like me and actually like wearing bright colors, there is a red one available here! lol
For a little extra warmth I wore a super ginormous scarf from Old Navy (similar here). It’s super cozy, and I also used it as a seat cushion at dinner, cause we went to Noble Rot and the seats were cold on my bare legs! Speaking of Noble Rot, it’s freaking delicious and the view of downtown Portland is incredible. I definitely recommend the New York Strip Steak and the Stuffed Trout, and if you’re a wino like me, definitely try the Catalonia Reds, Spain tasting flight! My favorite was the Jordi Oliver, 2013 ‘Joc’ Negre, Emporda 🙂
I love this look for a winter date night because this from Lulu’s gives off the best flirty vibe ever (available here)!! I love that it’s flowy and loose because it means it’s super comfortable, and the cut-out shoulder detail adds a girly vibe 🙂
So obviously I’ve hopped on the OTK boot trend train ha ha. My girlfriend Rachel from One Pot Slop actually has these Steve Madden OTK Suede boots and when I saw them on her, I knew I had to have them! I’ve been watching them for a few weeks and they finally went on sale for 30% off at Macy’s and I pounced! I freaking love them – they’re warm (great because you can wear a short dress and still have most of your leg covered!) and they hide my knobbly knock-knees! Say that five times fast… 😉 These boots are available here in black and here in tan!
So our dinner was at Noble Rot, and even though they had dessert options, we always go somewhere different for dessert, that way we get to try 2 places instead of just one 🙂 So for dessert and a night cap we went to Yardhouse. It’s a pretty cool brewery/bar downtown by Pioneer Square that has tons of beers on tap, and the best brownie ever! Seriously it’s that good. And it comes with a scoop of ice cream on top, which makes the brownie all ooey gooey and delicious 🙂
Lastly and quite possibly my favorite winter touch to this outfit, was this furry clutch from Full Addition! When I saw this clutch, it instantly reminded me of those furry poof things that you sometimes see bridesmaids holding instead of flowers, do you guys know what I mean? LOL I don’t know why it reminds me of those, but it does.
In all seriousness though, I really like this clutch from Full Addition because it’s so soft and it’s big enough to hold all of my essentials! I has a little wristlet too if you don’t want to carry it as a cross body, which is nice. Plus if you’re like me and don’t really like wearing furry clothes, you can always care a furry bag instead 😉
Alright fam, it’s time for me to get out of this ice box known as Ava Roasteria (turn up your heat!!!) and go hang out with the hubby. Let me know if any of you guys try out Noble Rot, and don’t forget to take advantage of 20% off at FullAddition.com, tomorrow is the LAST DAY TO SAVE (use discount code BOHO20)! I’ve been eyeing that same dress up at Lulu’s for a while! (but in floral) i wasn’t sure how it would hang but I think I have to get it now seeing how great it looks on you.

I love the fit! I got mine in a Medium even though the size chart said I should get a small, just cause I have wider shoulders. I’m also a tad busty, so I’m glad I went with the Medium 🙂
