.Hey lovelies! First of all, I apologize for missing Monday. I had quite the weekend in Denver and came home not feeling so great. Plus, I had some really scary turbulence on the flight home, and all I wanted to do when I got back to my apartment was hang out with my hubby. So instead, I’m going to do a quick post today and show you guys what I wore throughout the weekend (most of the time it was athleisure lol).
On the flight to Denver I just wanted to be comfortable and chic so I wore my Nike Air Max shoes with some mesh cut out leggings from Forever XXI. I layered my Nike zip up pullover over a basic tank because it’s really comfy and warm, and I of course brought my pink scarf for the plane ride. I also wore my Michael Kors coat because it really added some style to the outfit.
After we got to our hotel on Friday I changed into my Mother Denim jeans and lace-up ballet flats. I also switched out my Nike pullover for a knit sweater from Old Navy. It was so cold that day so jeans were a must!
That night we went out to some bars (see tomorrow’s post for a review of everywhere I ate!) and since it was so cold, I decided to just wear my same Mother Denim jeans with a cold shoulder top. This top definitely dressed up my outfit, but it was still really comfortable and casual.
On Saturday it was sooo much warmer, so I just wore pretty much the exact same outfit as I wore on the plane (so glad I packed those mesh leggings for this weekend in Denver!), except I ditched the Nike sweater for a light pink knit sweater from Old Navy. We went to breakfast that morning and then decided to do a little shopping, and I ended up buying a new sweater from Forever XXI that is so cute and comfortable, I absolutely love it! It was also really inexpensive (only $15!).
That night we went all out. And I mean, all out lol I wore the 1 and only dress that I brought, a really form fitting knit sleeveless turtleneck sweater dress from Lulu’s. I also wore my Nine West pumps. I definitely looked like a soccer mom lol (but a hot one 😉 ).
The next morning (Sunday) was rough lol. My girlfriend and I were definitely slow to get up but once we got some food in us, we felt better. I just wore the same outfit as I wore on the plane because I knew that after we had lunch and shopped, we would be heading right back to the airport to go home, and I was NOT about to fuss around with my outfit while feeling like death. I’m really glad that I brought minimal clothes though – I ended up wearing every single item I brought, except for a hat, and it was the perfect amount of clothes. It also made traveling super easy because all I had was a backpack and I didn’t have to pay for baggage.
Hope you guys enjoyed this post, and be sure to check out a full review of what to do and where to eat in Denver going up on the blog tomorrow!
xo,
B

Me too! If I don’t feel 100% comfortable, then I don’t wear it!
