It’s funny when you become a parent how you start to enjoy dressing your kid more than yourself. There are days (more than I’d like to admit) where Ayla is all done up and cute and I look like a hobo. Honestly I just get so much joy out of putting outfits together for her, and I know she loves playing dress up too. She’s now at the stage where she likes to pick out her own OOTD, and since my most recent shopping excursion where I picked up all her fall wardrobe essentials, I know that no matter what she chooses, she’ll be the cutest kiddo on the block 😉

Where to Find Affordable Toddler Clothes for Fall
Since Ayla grows so stinkin’ fast, I try and shop conservatively so as not to spend a ton of money. She has never been able to wear a particular item for more than 6 months, and it hurts my soul to have to give something up that cost an arm and a leg after she’s worn it twice. Because of that, I try to stick to stores that are more affordable, and I always shop sales! Here are my favorite places to shop for Ayla’s clothes:
- Target – they are killing it with the cute outfits this Fall! I’ve purchased so many dresses for Ayla from Target, and I also love their basics. They have great leggings, sweats, and t-shirts for $5-$10 each! Their jeans are also super affordable. Here are Ayla’s Fall wardrobe essentials that we bought at Target:
- Zara – OK mama is just obsessed with Zara in general so of course I shop there for Ayla as well! Since they are a bit more spendy I try to stick to the basics and I get all Ayla’s knit tights and socks from Zara. I also shop their sales to pick up trendy shoes and cute blouses, because those are always hard to find. I can’t link Zara items the same as other stores and they tend to change out the available items with the seasons, but I’d definitely recommend checking them out. Here is a list of the types of pieces we always get from Zara:
- Basic T-shirts are a must – they’re usually around $5-$7 each or come in a two-pack.
- Long sleeve sweaters – if you want neutral colors, I’d definitely recommend Zara. I don’t want Ayla to have a ton of pink, so I like that Zara carries greys, browns, and neutrals.
- Knit pants and tights – I haven’t found another store that can compare to the knit pants and leggings and tights that Zara carries. They’re so soft and stylish!
- Accessories – we always get knit beanies for Ayla from Zara every year because they’re cute, soft, and super affordable.
More Fall Wardrobe Essentials for Toddlers
We also shop frequently at Old Navy because it seems like they’re always having a sale. Usually I will get a nice warm coat like this one and it will last all season. I also recommend checking out H&M if you have one close by. They have great basics, but NEVER order online! I have ordered online three times and each time my order was super delayed. I also didn’t receive everything I ordered, and one team even received other people’s items. They’re shipping is a mess. But they def have great pieces so check them out in-store!

I am always looking for new brands to support 🙂 Also, don’t forget to sign up for Rakuten to save even more on your shopping! I have saved almost $200 this year alone from using Rakuten! You just get a percentage back for all qualifying purchases, and it’s good in-store as well! Let me know if you have any questions about it 🙂

What a cutie pie! I love the one piece jumper she’s wearing 🙂 And I totally feel like when/if I have kiddos, they will be better dressed than me without a doubt haha!! Also, those overalls you linked are pretty darling, hope I get to see her in them this fall!
Love you both xoxo
