So this weekend I went to Southern Oregon to see my family (it was my grandmother’s 80th birthday party). I flew down there from Portland with my 9 month old daughter, Ayla. This flight is great because it’s so short, only 45-55 minutes long! However, any of you mom or dads out there know, traveling with a baby leaves you feeling the opposite of clean. Now, we didn’t have any diaper blowouts on the flight, but we did have lots of drool and a little spit up. Since this was my third trip flying with Ayla, I’d learned that the best thing I could do to come out on the other side of the flight still clean, was to wear layers and take off the outer layer once I land. It’s literally like wearing a whole new outfit LOL
But guess what else happened on the flight? OF COURSE I got my period. Mother Nature can be funny that way…And ladies, let’s be open and honest right now, the monthly menstrual leaves us feeling BLEGH and BLAH. I know I tend to feel bloated, crampy, and just downright icky.
