Have you noticed my style changing over on Instagram? If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I typically wear A LOT of neutrals. Like, to the point where my mom once called my style “blah” LOL. This year though I’ve been all about the color! It’s so weird, I’ve even found myself picking out colors that I would never have worn just 6 months ago. I think it has everything to do with the season and all the spring 2019 fashion trends that I’m loving, which I’ve shared below!

The Spring 2019 Fashion Trends from the Runway you can ACTUALLY Wear
Layer, Tiers, and Frills
Think the romance of Paris mixed with a little Spanish flare. One of my favorite looks from the runway this year was a Dolce & Gabbana look that reminded me of Freida Kahlo. Now, obviously the look on the left isn’t super wearable in every day life (unless extra, extra, EXTRA, is your thing), but we can take inspiration from the print and tiers and make it our own, like the dress on the right!
Netting
Fishnets are back you guys, and not in the traditional sense! Did anyone else fall in love with the Christian Dior look Chriselle Lim wore this year at Fashion Month? OMG it was one of my most favorite looks of the season and has me thinking of ways to incorporate fishnets into my own wardrobe. I’ve linked a couple of fun options below, I think what I love most is the layering possibilities!

Tie Dye
I’m pretty obsessed with tie dye (growing up in Southern Oregon will do that to you), so you can imagine my excitement to see it “on trend.” Time to break out all my old college day pieces 😎
COLOR
Color is in this season, especially brights like yellow. I’ve been loving incorporating fun colors into my style through colorful tops, bright nails, and fun earrings!

This LEITH blouse is one of my absolute favorite spring purchases. It’s the perfect color and I love the print and button details. You’ve probably seen me wear it A LOT in my IG stories, I’ve shot it twice and worn it to work and out several more times! It’s also 50% off right now on Nordstrom.com!!!

Adding color to my wardrobe is not only fun, it makes me feel happy. There’s so much grey in Portland for about 9 months out of the year, but dressing in bright, cheery colors helps to make me feel like it’s not so dark and dreary.
Do colors ever do that to you, influence your mood? What’s your “happy” color? Let me know in the comments!
I like your outfit!! you look so pretty
Aw thank you so much!! <3
I like pretty floral tops for spring especially.
Same girl!
I’d love it if fishnets came back because I was a babygoth high schooler lol. I’m happy to see you embracing color! Hell yeah!
Haha one of my gf’s wore fishnets in high school and I was always so jealous at how well she pulled it off!
Your outfit is killer, and I LOVE your trend round-up!

Right!? I couldn’t agree more!
Right now, I’m really loving feminine silhouettes & a cinched waistline! I can’t say I’m too into the tie dye & netting, but that’s the beauty of fashion! You can wear whatever makes you happy!

I think tie-dye is the only thing I’m not super crazy about, but I am loving all of these other trends! Lol at your mom’s comment. Though truthfully she’ll probably say the same thing about me. Neutrals forever haha!!
She’s funny, she loves color but the woman wears jeans and a t-shirt every day so 🤷🏼♀️
Just so you know I can be very extra and love that Frieda Kahlo reminiscent dress 😉 I would just do my best to dress it down with neutral accessories!
Get it girl!! I feel like you could totally pull it off 🙂
Layers, frills, and fishnets! Love. It. 🙂
