Happy last day of November lovelies! Today I’m sharing the beauty products that I’ve been OBSESSED with this month (and for one or two of them, over a month). I’ve linked the products that are still available for purchase (they are in the pink headings), as well as in the widgets down below! Let me know if you guys have tried any of these products out and what you think!
#1 Neutrogena Ulta Light Cleansing Oil
I love this product so much! I used to try and stay away from oil based products, because I thought that with my oily and acne prone skin, putting more oil on would make me break out even more. But this product is super light and doesn’t make me break out at all! I use this to take off my makeup at night. What I do is splash some warm water on my face, then add 3-4 pumps of the Neutrogrena Ulta Light Cleansing Oil in my hands and rub them together and massage the oil into my face, focusing on the areas where I’m wearing a lot of makeup. The makeup literally melts right off my face. Most of the time, I don’t even need to use makeup remover AT ALL after I wash this off my face.
#2 The Portland Girl Lady Grey Cleansing Elixir
This is the new cleanser that I got from The Portland Girl at their Pre-Holiday Party! This product made my November Beauty Favorites because I’ve only been using it for a week and a half, and I can already see a difference in my skin. I use this product morning and night, and all I do is add 1 pump of the cleanser to my wet hands and rub them together until the product becomes nice and foamy, then I massage it all over my face and neck (sometimes my chest area too). You really only need 1 pump, even though it doesn’t seem like a lot π This cleanser makes my skin feel like all the gunk has been sucked out of my pores after I use it. It’s so good, that I haven’t even had to use any blackhead removing techniques the entire time I’ve had it, and I have noticeably less blackheads!
#3 The Portland Girl Plumpin Pumpkin Face Mask
Yep, another product from The Portland Girl’s Pre-Holiday Party π This is an exfoliating glycolic face mask that pretty much makes me feel like I just got a facial every time I use it. I apply this mask with my hands because I don’t have any special brushes that I’ve tried for it yet (although I think I might try a brush and see how I like it). I apply a thin layer to my entire face and neck about 3-4 times a week, let it sit for 20 minutes, and then wash it off with warm water. ***Two warnings about this product – one, it burns like a mother effer for about 20 seconds when you first apply it (I’ve used it 4 times and the last time it did not burn me, so we’ll see, maybe my skin is used to it now). Two, it literally smells like a pureed pumpkin. I definitely feel like I’m putting straight pumpkin on my face, but girl, if it works (and it does!), I don’t even care!
#4 Tarte Maracuja Oil
Again with the oil! I think it’s the winter weather that has me using more oil based products or something. My skin definitely feels dryer lately, which is why I love this Maracuja Oil from Tarte that I received in my November Ipsy Glam Bag. I use this product at night after my cleanser (or face mask if it’s one of those nights). I just put half a dropper full into my palm and rub my hands together, then massage the product into my face and neck, focusing on areas of dryness (around my nose and chin especially). This helps so much with combating the dryness from the harsh and cold weather.
#5 Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Cream
I go back and forth with this product because it is super heavy on the skin, but I’ve started using this just around my eye area, and for that I really like it. This is one of those products where if I use it anywhere else on my face, even just one time, I will immediately break out the next day. However, I have started noticing that I am getting fine lines underneath my eyes, so I’ve been applying a small amount of this product as a night time eye cream, and I definitely can see a difference in my fine lines. Also, there is a light version of this cream that I am thinking about trying, but I have a hard time forking over the money if it’s not worth it, so if you guys have tried the light version of the Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Cream, leave me a comment and let me know what you thought!
#6 Tweezerman Good Grip Eyelash Curler
OK, moving away from the skincare products now π I randomly happened upon this eyelash curler at Fred Meyer’s one day and decided to buy it since mine was super old (I had my old one for 10 years!!!). I honestly did not expect this product to be any better than the one I had, but OH MY GOSH shoot me cause it’s amazing. My lashes literally stick straight up after just one application from this little guy! Even if I don’t curl my lashes again after I apply mascara (which I rarely do because I hate how it can get clumpy) my lashes still have a noticeable curl.
#7 Sweet & Shimmer Matte Lip Crayon
I bought 2 of these lip crayons at Ulta on their 5 for $5 table thinking, “they’re only $1, I’ll give them a try” but not really expecting them to be all that holler-worthy….well, hallelujah, cause these babies are definitely worth more than the buck I paid for them! They are SO pigmented and creamy feeling on the lips! I bought them in 2 colors – Raspberry RoseΒ (love) and Hazy Pink (like), and they are my go-to lippies right now. I personally don’t like to use Hazy Pink by itself on me (it’s just not my color for my skin tone), but I do like to layer it over Raspberry Rose for an ombre effect π The color lasts almost all day for me, and that’s with eating 2 lunches and drinking 2 cups of coffee AND water. The color does transfer on to pretty much anything your lips come in to contact with which is kind of annoying, but that’s a flaw I’m willing to overlook since the pigment and last is so good π Unfortunately, this product is SOLD OUT after all the Black Friday sales, but I will definitely let you know when I see more coming back in stock! In the meantime, you can click here to go to Ulta’s website and see more of the Sweet & Shimmer products that they have!
That’s it for my November Beauty Favorites! Don’t forget to let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any of these products out and what you think of them! Also, I post a lot of beauty routine videos on my Snapchat @theblistblog and on Instagram Stories @blistblog, so be sure to follow me on there so you don’t miss out!
