Hey b-list fam! This post is going to be dedicated to all of my beauty and makeup junkie followers, so if beauty and makeup aren’t your thing, feel free to just scroll through the pretty pictures and then bounce, I won’t be offended 😉 HOWEVER, for those of you who love trying out new products and playing with your face, then pay attention cause this post is for you!
The makeup I want to talk to you guys about today is the new Laura Mercier Editorial Eye Palette Intense Clays (available at Sephora here!) – and you guys, the name is definitely fitting for the product! I received this palette complimentary from Influenster and I’ve done two different looks on my eyes, one day and one night, and the colors are so intensely pigmented! You literally only need a little bit of product on your brush and you still get a beautiful smoky look that is wearable day or night. The clay texture of the eyeshadow is also really unique and different! It’s very silky smooth and fun to play with and it’s unlike any other eyeshadow product that I own. OK, are you sold yet?
If not, here’s a list of my pro’s and con’s!
Pros | Cons |
6 highly pigmented shadows, 3 matte, 3 metallic, plus a setting powder | Colors look different in the palette than they swatch and wear on the eyes, but they are still beautiful! |
A little bit goes a long way, so the palette will definitely last for a long time! | Setting powder has some glitter in it, so for those who don’t like glitter, it could be a deal breaker |
Compact comes with a mirror for easy, on-the-go application and travel | Pricey – $48.00 at Sephora.com |
Unique – how many eyeshadow palettes do you own that feel like clay??? | One of the colors (***) buffs away when using a blending brush and I did have to reapply once. However, once the setting powder is on, it stays! |
NO CREASING!!! I literally wore the below eye look all day and my grease bucket eyelids didn’t crease at all | |
ZERO FALLOUT!!! Need I say more? |
There you have it lovelies, the Laura Mercier Editorial Eye Palette Intense Clays is definitely a really fun and unique palette that I’m super excited to continue playing with. The clays aren’t something I would wear on the daily, but they make for a really fun and different product and an amazing night out smoky eye look. I’m also really excited to pair the palette with a more muted neutral look, and maybe just use it as a pop of color underneath the eye or as a smoky eyeliner. There are literally so many different ways you can use this palette!
What do you guys think about the Laura Mercier Editorial Eye Palette Intense Clays? Have you tried it? Let me know in the comments below if you have, and if not let me know if you think you might! Love you guys, have an amazing rest of your week!
xo,
B
