How many of you work in a pretty conservative office environment? *raises hand* I work for a Catholic health organization by day and I have to dress pretty business casual and conversative whenever I’m in the office. This is actually hard for me because I find most office attire SO BORING! It took me a while to figure out how to incorporate my own personal style into my work wardrobe, and I really want to share my go-to pieces with you guys. I’ll keep to the season and we’ll start with my fall office attire essentials.

Fall Office Attire Essentials
When I dress for work I almost always wear a variation of the following: leggings, sweater, and boots or flats. I think a chunky knit paired with sleek black pants always looks super chic, plus it’s warm for the fall. It’s pretty much the perfect fall office attire essential outfit.
For this particular outfit I decided to forego the leggings for a pair of black Paige denim jeans. These jeans are sooo soft and totally work appropriate (I’d wear them on a Friday to the office, but if you work somewhere more casual you could wear them any day!). They’re considered high rise but to me I’d classify them as a mid rise (if it doesn’t come up to my belly button, it’s not a high rise lol). Also, they’re the first pair of pants I bought postpartum, and I’d DEFINITELY recommend them!
You can literally pair any sweater with black pants for the office. For the fall, I went with a warm burgundy/wine chunky pullover. It’s slightly cropped so I can tuck it in to the jeans, making it even more chic. I also think this open cardigan and this knit sweater would be perfect to add to your fall office attire collection.
For the details, I like to keep it simple but polished for the office. A pair of simple pumps or flats (or boots in the fall/winter) are perfect with this look. My favorite pumps at the moment are these Chanel dupes from DSW. They’re Franco Sarto brand and SO freaking comfortable it’s insane. I literally wear them all the time.
I’m not much into jewelry but I’ve been gravitating towards jewel tones lately and I love these earrings from Lulu’s. I got them during their $7 sale a couple months ago; I think they really pull this look together!
Do you have an outfit that you wear over and over to work? This would definitely be mine! Let me know in the comments!

This outfit is super cute! I love the color of the sweater. I could have worn that even in the summer though, my office was always so cold inside!

Why are offices always so cold??? I work in a medical center and it’s always freezing in there.

I recently started an office job and so this is a huge help! I’m used to teaching in a high school classroom where I could be a bit more casual. Love this! Thanks!

Great ideas! If you have a few pairs of pants in different neutral colors it is easy to pair any sweaters with them!
Brittany Nicole says
Yes so true, that’s a great tip!!

Your shoes and earrings are just gorgeous! I normally wear pencil skirts and silk or chiffon tops to work- but when the mood strikes me, I also go the super comfy & cosy route, with black jeans and a big, fluffy sweater.

Thank you so much Silvia! I love a good pencil skirt for work too, I always feel so professional when I wear them.
