Hey loves! Today I want to tell you about a few drugstore beauty products I’ve been trying out. I picked these up at Walmart during my recent trip to LA, and I’ve been pretty impressed! I’ve even incorporated them in to a little drugstore beauty/budget friendly routine. The products I’ve been using are from Noxzema®, St. Ive’s®, Simple®, and PONDS®, and you can shop them here! OK, without further ado, let’s get in to my budget friendly beauty routine!
Drugstore Beauty Nighttime Routine
I’ve tested out all four products and came up with a really nice and simple nighttime routine that works for me. This routine may not be for everyone, but for my sensitive skin, it’s the best routine incorporating every product.
Step #1: Remove your makeup and pre-cleanse with the Simple® Cleansing Facial Wipes
The first thing I do in the evening when I get home from work is remove my makeup. Even if I don’t wear face makeup, I do usually wear mascara or eyebrows (such a weird thing to say LOL). I love using these Simple® wipes because one, they’re simple #duh and two, they’re great for sensitive skin! They even remove waterproof makeup 🙂
Step #2: Cleanse your face using the Noxzema® Classic Clean Original Deep Cleansing Cream
I had never tried this brand before (hell, I had never even heard of it!) so I was a little nervous. Is anyone else apprehensive about using an unknown product on their skin, or is that just me? Leave me a comment if you feel the same way, I’m interested to know 🙂 Anywho, I actually really like this cleansing cream! It has an almost whipped texture, and it definitely feels tingly. Since my skin is really sensitive, I can only use this cream in my evening routine. I definitely wouldn’t be able to use it in the morning due to the tingling effect (it makes my skin a little red). However, when incorporating it into my nighttime routine I really feel like I get a super deep cleanse!
Step #3: Exfoliate with St. Ives® Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub
I don’t exfoliate with a manual exfoliant every day, but I still wanted to include it in my nighttime routine. I actually would only use this product 2-3 times a week in the evening. I choose to exfoliate in the evenings because with my sensitive skin, I tend to get a lot of redness (not cute during the day, trust me). I like this product because it’s sulfate and paraben free and uses an all-natural exfoliant. I’ve been a fan of St. Ives® since high school (I used to use the Sensitive Skin Apricot Scrub), so I 100% recommend them!
Step #4: Moisturize with PONDS® Dry Skin Cream
So if you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I’m EXTREMELY picky about my moisturizer. I need something that is really hydrating for my dry skin, but not too thick that it clogs my pores. Basically I’m the Goldilocks of moisturizer LOL. This moisturizer is thicker than I usually use, but it’s actually lighter than your typical night cream. I don’t usually use a night cream since they’re usually really thick, so I’m in LOVE with this one! It’s also non-comedogenic, so it won’t clog my pores 🙂
Another thing I love about these products is the price. You can find all of them at your local Walmart, and each product is less than $5 (yeah, you read that right!). Check them out from my shopping cart here! Also, leave me a comment below with your favorite drugstore beauty product so I can check it out!
