Hi lovelies! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend! What did you guys do? I spent mine with my in-laws 🙂 We don’t get to see them very often since they live in Eastern Washington and it’s quite the drive, so spending several days with them was nice. It was soooo cold there though! Let me know in the comments what you all did for the long weekend!
Since “winter is coming” (any GoT lovers out there??) I want to share with you guys the 3 best winter coats that I own and that I’ve been wearing on repeat as the weather gets colder. These coats have been in my closet for over a year now, so I linked very similar coats by the same and different brands. The most important things for me when I choose the best winter coat, is warmth, comfort, and style. I feel like it’s very easy to get lost in a giant warm coat, so purchasing one with some detail is key for me to still look cute 🙂
#1 The Traditional Peacoat (with a twist)
I love this peacoat by MK by Michael Kors (available in red here) because it’s a traditional peacoat, but it has a few extra details with the zipper instead of buttons, and the belt. The belt is super versatile! You can loop it through like a traditional belt, you can tie it in the back instead of the front, or you can just do a simple twist like I did here.
#2 The Tweed Peacoat
This tweed peacoat from Calvin Klein is another favorite winter coat for me. I feel like tweed is timeless (Chanel anyone?), but it can sometimes look a little old fashion for me, which is why I love that this tweed coat has a waist belt and a big cowl neck if you button it up all the way (so warm and cozy!). A similar Calvin Klein coat is available here!
#3 The Leather Jacket
This is my most favorite leather jacket that I’ve ever owned, and it’s probably the coat I wear most often. It’s a cropped vegan leather jacket from Bar III, and it’s no longer available but I’ve linked a couple alternatives here and here that I am IN LOVE with. Leather jackets aren’t always the warmest coats for winter, but they’re great for layering. I personally love to layer a relaxed hoodie underneath my leather jacket for extra warmth 🙂
Well those are my top 3 picks for best winter coats this season. What are you all wearing to stay warm? I’ve seen a lot of blush colored coats this season, anyone hopping on that trend? Let me know in the comments below!
xo,
B
