How many of you guys have stained teeth? *raiseshand* Whether it’s from coffee, tea, wine, tobacco, or just plain life in general, I think all of us have looked at our teeth and gone “ugh!” For me personally, I have sensitive teeth and soft enamel that stains easily. Plus, I had braces for 4 years. Plus I drink coffee and/or tea every day. PLUS I like my vino. Add all this together, and what do you get? Yep, yellow teeth. The good news is, I’ve found my favorite product that’s given me the best teeth whitening experience ever, from Smile Brilliant!
Custom-Fitted Teeth Whitening Trays
With Smile Brilliant, I really felt like I received a personal, at-home teeth whitening experience. The first thing you do when you receive your package, is your molds. All the instructions come with the package and are very clear and easy to follow. They even send you some extra product in case you mess up the molds on your first try! I found the process really easy, and it didn’t take too much time out of my day either. This first step is really important because it’s how you get your custom-fitted trays!
Professional Teeth Whitening at Home
Once you’re done with your molds, you send them back to Smile Brilliant and within 10-14 days, you receive your whitening trays! The package you initially receive has all the other products you need for your at-home teeth whitening experience, including teeth whitening gel and sensitivity gel.
I tried the whitening gel as soon as I received my whitening trays. Each syringe is good for 3-4 rounds of whitening, so don’t go in with the whole syringe! Unfortunately for me, I realized right off the bat that with my sensitive teeth, I was going to have some issues. The whitening gel hurt my teeth within 5 minutes, but there’s a silver lining! Instead of just using the whitening gel, I came up with a system where I would use the sensitivity gel for 20 minutes in the morning while I was getting ready for work. Then in the evening after dinner, I would use the whitening gel for 45 minutes to an hour. I did this sporadically, sometimes every day, sometimes every other day, until I had used most of the gel. Since I have sensitive teeth and I wasn’t wearing the trays for the full 4 hours, it took me longer to get the results I wanted. I had to use more of the gel than if I had left the trays in for a longer period of time. If any of you are concerned about trying a home teeth whitening product because of your sensitive teeth, then I recommend two things. One, check out this article on how to whiten sensitive teeth. Seriously, I’ve tried two other products for whitening teeth at home, and Smile Brilliant is definitely the best!
Before and After
To show you guys how effective Smile Brilliant was on my coffee stained teeth, I took a before and after photo. The before is on the left, and the after is on the right. And just so you know, both of these photos were taken in natural light and have not been edited!
You can see that my teeth weren’t super yellow, but they weren’t white and vibrant either. It’s also a little hard to tell how significant the difference really is in a photograph. After using Smile Brilliant’s at home teeth whitening system, my coffee stains are much less visible and my teeth look radiant! Also, I’ve noticed that the areas in between my teeth look much whiter!
