Can you believe 4th of July weekend is right around the corner?! What plans do you have for the weekend/holiday? I’m heading to LA on Friday for a week and I’m starting to get really excited! The upcoming holiday is actually what inspired me to write this post. 4th of July is the perfect time for a BBQ with family and friends, and what’s more fun that creating holiday inspired cocktails? However, as you guys probably know, I’ve been trying really hard to reach my fitness goals, and drinking a ton of empty calories is definitely not my idea of a celebration. That’s why I’m excited to partner up with Perrier for this post to bring you my favorite 4th of July inspired cocktails!
My Favorite 4th of July Inspired Cocktails
Spicy Watermelon Confederados
1 fresh lime
1 cup cachaça
2 cups watermelon puree
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 can watermelon Perrier
Glass: martini
Garnish: watermelon wedge (optional)
Serves 4-6
Watermelon Cucumber Mint Mojito
2 cups pureed watermelon
½ pureed cucumber
10 fresh mint leaves
1 cup vodka
1 lime cut in to fourths
1 can watermelon Perrier
Glass: mason jar
Garnish: sliced cucumber
Serves 4-6
Sparkling Sunrise
2 orange juice
1 cup rum
½ cup strawberry daiquiri mix
1 can strawberry Perrier
Glass: stemless wine
Garnish: sliced strawberry
Services 4-6
All three of these cocktails are really delicious and low calorie (except for the alcohol, hee hee). I love adding a twist to classic cocktails, like the Sunrise and the Mojito! I also love adding Perrier! The fizziness adds a summery vibe, and I LOVE that you don’t sacrifice any of the taste even though there’s ZERO calories and ZERO artificial ingredients! I used the watermelon and strawberry Perrier flavors in my cocktails, but they also have Lime, L’Orange, Pink Grapefruit, and Green Apple.
It’s so much fun to add some fiz to a summer drink! How would you incorporate Perrier in to your 4th of July cocktails?
