I know what you’re thinking…bee venom? REALLY?! Yep, for the past month I’ve been using products with bee venom in them, and I want to share with you what I think!
*This post is sponsored by Collectively and Nip + Fab. Products were provided to me free of charge. All photos and opinions are my own.*
Bee Venom – What’s it all About?
In general, bee venom is used to treat conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, nerve pain, multiple sclerosis, and other muscle conditions such as fibromyositis. When used on the skin, bee venom helps to stimulate the production of collagen. It tricks the skin into believing it has been stung, which then produces the collagen and leads to firm and youthful skin!
Nip + Fab Product Review
When I found out I was receiving products containing actual bee venom, I was a little nervous. I have SUPERย sensitive skin, and I thought for sure these products would make my face swell to the size of a basketball #dramaticmuch? But Collectively and Nip + Fab told me to test the product out on another area of my body before using it on my face, and I didn’t have a reaction from that spot test so I gave it a whirl! Here’s what I thought about each product!
Nip + Fab Bee Sting Fix Eye Cream
This is my favorite Nip + Fab product that I received! After just one week of using this eye cream, I noticed a dramatic difference and a reduction of the fine lines underneath my eyes. I love the texture of the product so much; it is creamy, not hard to apply at all, and it doesn’t sting my eyes. I feel like I could just rave and rave about this eye cream!
Nip + Fab Bee Sting Fix Repair Shot
This product is is an oil that is great for dry skin. I did find that it is a bit harsh on my sensitive skin, so I only use it three times a week. I love the smell though, and the plumping properties are amazing!
Nip + Fab Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum
So this next product doesn’t have bee venom in it, but I received it in the same package so I want to share my thoughts. I expected this product to be more like a true serum in consistency, but is quite a bit thicker. It actually reminds me of a primer a little bit. It has a citrusy scent and I do feel like I see results (my fine lines look less noticeable).
Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads
I’ve tried glycolic pads before and have not been impressed, so I was leery to try this product. I actually really like these though! They don’t irritate my skin or make me break out at all. However, they are a bit drying (something I’ve found to be a usual side effect for me with glycolic products).
What do you guys think of using bee venom for your skin? I was leery at first, but I’m actually liking the result I’ve been getting from using these Nip + Fab products. Leave me a comment with your thoughts!

B

Nature has provided all we need for health and beauty. I haven’t heard of bee venom being used in beauty products before but I’m not surprised that it works wonders for the skin. My favorite skin-care ingredients are aloe vera and coconut oil. I make my own shaving soap, which contains organic coconut oil and essential oils for fragrance. Maybe I should add some bee venom and see what happens!
Brittany says
That sounds great, I love aloe vera as well. I really want to grow my own plant because I love to rub freshly harvested aloe vera on my face!

I’ve been interested in these products for a long, long time! I just don’t know how my body would react because I’m allergic to bees. So, probably badly. Very badly.
Brittany says
Eek yes I would definitely NOT try these if you are allergic to bees! xoxo

I get some of them through Influenster! This one is actually co-sponsored by Nip + Fab and Collectively, so not Influenster this time ๐
