Happy Friday lovely b-listers! I’m heading out up to Seattle this morning for one of my bestie’s Bachelorette Party! I can’t wait to “let my hair” down for the weekend with some amazing women. In the spirit of Bachelorette Parties and a girl’s night out, I want to share with you my Top 5 Bachelorette Party Essentials!
First things first, a little info about the trip!
We are going to be in Seattle for 3 days and 2 nights, and there are 8 or 9 fabulous ladies going! We are renting a fabulous house through AirBnB, and TBH, it’s one of my favorite parts of the trip! My girlfriend definitely wants to go all out with the decorations if you know what I mean (there may or may not be a penis crown…). *Disclaimer – some of the items I’m mentioning are definitely stereotypical Bachelorette Party style and not completely (or at all?) appropriate 😉 Just an FYI!
Bachelorette Party Essentials
#1 – Snacks & Booze
Cause seriously, what’s a Bachelorette Party without both? Some snack I’m bringing include avocado oil chips, protein bars, string cheese, turkey pepperoni, penis sugar cookies (hee hee), and chips and salsa. For the booze, I’m actually not planning on drinking that much, so I’m just bringing a pouch of boxed wine (yes, I said boxed, it’s cheap OK!) and some juices for mixers (or just by themselves if I don’t feel like drinking).
#2 – Party Dress
What’s a Bachelorette Party without a girl’s night out? We are planning on having one big night out where we get all fancy and go to a nice dinner, followed by some downtown Seattle action! For this occasion I’m bringing two dress options (cause you never know what you’ll feel like wearing in the moment, right?). The first is a ribbed black spaghetti strap dress with an asymmetrical hemline from either Forever XXI, H&M, or Express. I cut the tags off sooo…it’s one of those lol. It’s cute but also sexy, and I don’t have to wear a bra with it (booyah!). The second option is a wrap dress by Bobeau that makes me look like I’m a size 2 (#butimreallyasize8). It’s flowy, flattering, and just plain gorgeous. I bought it at Nordstrom Rack, and it’s also available in black!
#3 – A Camera!
I know, I know, what happens on the Bachelorette, stays on the Bachelorette. But what’s so secret about wine tasting? Trust me, you’re gonna want to document the experience (even if you take the photos to the grave 😉 ). I’m taking my Canon EOS Rebel T6 with me for some great shots!
#4 – Cash
If you’re going out anywhere in a big city and plan on doing some clubbing, be prepared to pay a cover charge. You may get lucky and not have to pay cause you’re on a Bachelorette Party (or if you’re in Vegas they may just let you in for free for having a vagina), but you don’t want to be the one stuck trying to find an ATM or bumming cash from your friends!
#5 – Party Favors
Time for the good stuff 😉 Penises everywhere! LOL, lucky for us, the bride is a good sport and wants to have fun and be silly, so we are bringing along lots of penis memorabilia. Here are a few items that I picked up at Lippman Company in Portland!
