New York City has some of the best food and cutest restaurants. When I was last there in February, one of my main goals was to eat my weight in pastries and I’m preeetty sure I succeeded. I was also traveling with my vegan friend though, so to be mindful of her alternative eating, I searched for some fun plant-based restaurants we could try, and I’m happy to say that two of the BEST meals from the trip were vegan and/or clean! I’m still so blown away by how good they were and how much I enjoyed these vegan haunts, that I just have to share them with you. If you’re taking a trip to NYC in the future, you should definitely consider giving these restaurants a try!

My Favorite Plant-Based Restaurants in NYC
One of the first plant-based restaurants we tried on our trip to NYC was The Butcher’s Daughter. The interior of this little cafe was SO pretty; I’m a huge sucker for white brick and lots of greenery and this cafe had ALL the plants. They also had delicious fresh squeezed mimosas and a brunch menu to die for. I recommend ordering the Smashed Avocado Toast Benedict (unless you eat 100% plant-based, in which case try the Coconut Yogurt Parfait!) with a side of Adzuki Bean Bacon! The Butcher’s Daughter has multiple locations in NYC and in LA as well!
My very favorite meal I had in NYC was from P.S. Kitchen. They are 100% plant based and the food is so good! We went for dinner one night and I had the P.S. Burger, which is made with a Beyond Burger patty (OMG so good, legit couldn’t even tell it was plant-based). The vibe is also super cool and they were having a fun mixer event that we got to partake in as well!

When someone who doesn’t eat plant-based all the time raves about a plant-based restaurant, you know it’s gotta be good LOL. I would definitely eat at these restaurants again, and ever since I got back to Portland I’ve been noticing more and more vegan spots to check out!
